Some years ago,
I decided
Together with a friend of mine
To involve ourselves
In the community life
He chose politics
And I chose Rotary.
At first
Fortune smiled upon
My friend
And became an M.P.
I was happy
Every time
When I completed
One of the Rotary
Specific projects
Nowadays,
Disgusted by lies,
My friend
Moved away
From politics
Nevertheless, I continue
To enjoy myself,
Like a child,
Every time
Those whom
We assist
Through our projects,
Utter sincerely
From the bottom of their souls,
Words of gratitude
